Anybody else exhausted?? In this world? In your head? In your house? I am! I’m just so tired. I scroll in IG at bedtime for some ‘me time’ and am bombarded with marketing ads for things you know you don’t need – two hours later (once you’ve realized you should have closed your eyes an hour ago) you were literally so close to buying that one thing. The only thing stopping you is your exhaustion and you don’t want to get up for your wallet. Pray you don’t have Google, Apple or whatever pay on your phone. You know clearly well you don’t need it but your heart wants it. I want to tell you 1. You don’t need it, girl. 2. But, if you feel you need it at the moment, buy it. I never regret a purchase in the middle of the night. I don’t – my husband does, but I don’t.
You’re so much more productive in the middle of the night. Know why? Because you’re so damn busy throughout the day. All of a sudden it’s 7 am in the morning and you are freaking exhausted from the day before. Like me, I am cooking, cleaning, working, thinking about cleaning or working, and when I’m not doing that I am running around rampant with my toddler or fur-toddler. All day long. You feel you don’t have time for yourself. I mean think of all the mom memes out there:
“A car ride alone, w/o children is a vibe”
“Self-care is a long uninterrupted shower”
“Getting a massage for Christmas because mom’s need one after carrying the whole family”
I mean – like a shower is self-care? Come on peeps – there is a whole lot more ideas I can think of than a shower. How about a long bath, in a tun without toys, but with candles and roses and a really good book.. In a hotel down the street. 🙂 That sounds serene. If this is you, grab my Free Self Care Checklist – or my Free Checklist (Sunday – Saturday) that you can fill in whatever suits YOUR needs. We as humans in the US of A or mommies are the last priority on the planet. My checklist is designed for just that – the busy women out there who are burnt out! Find things to be unsettling and unfair. You don’t have time to do most of the typical self-care things a lot of magician women are able to do in a 24 hour given period. No-no this checklist is supposed to be easy. Feel free to print out or just rewrite into your calendar or planner if any- If something doesn’t work in your schedule – rework the self-care schedule to things that you KNOW you will do. I challenge you to try- see how many days you can accomplish this and see the fulfillment you’ve gained from doing so. Let me know in the comments if this has helped and share with other exhausted moms who are struggle-bussing it today. Get it here!
